LDC's grandfather Isaac Moore and wife to Ashland about 1884, father Ed/mother Ida C. Moore, Ida back to Ashland alone then married Fred Frain and lived at on Fall Creek until they retired. John Grieve was original owner of their homestead adjoining Grandpa Moore's property. log cabin was a schoolhouse and then their home. Walter and Bruce Grieves had homesteads up Jennie Creek; Mr. Neuman lived down the creek from them. Joe Rambeau homesteaded at foot of Grizzly Mountain. subsequent owners: Curly Stow, Lou Allen, Ed Way, Curt Johnson, a Mr. Ling, and Joseph (Charley) Lasky. did cattle ranching. railroad abandoned about fall of 1912 and 1913 the steel was pulled up as far as the Fall Creek Power Plant (built 1904). had Sarah Huenerguart as teacher, then Mrs. Clyde (Bess) Wade. June 22, 1919, Loren married Dortha, homesteaded in 1918 abovbe Copco Lake and raised family there. worked for Klamath-Lake County Forest Fire Protective Association/renamed The Klamath Forest Protectiv Association (KFPA), the worked for Weyerhaeuser at Camp No. 4. neighbors gave a surprise party for his June 22nd's 50th anniversary.
