Talent Pioneer Saw First Mail Sack Delivered.

On March 17, 1881, Mary Carey watched the stage coach drop off a sack of mail at a shanty that AP Talent had build for it.  The town was named after Talent, and the article describes the log school house, the first businesses, Pekkett's artesian wells, and early town leaders as Welburn Beeson and G F Billings.
