The SOHS Library is OPEN to the public at 106 N. Central Avenue in Medford, with FREE access to the SOHS Archives, from 12:00 - 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Appointments are not necessary. Please contact library@sohs.org, or call 541-622-2025 ex 200 to ask questions or request research.

 

Grants Pass Courier

The Grants Pass Courier celebrated its 140th birthday April 3rd, 2025.  It won many awards over the years, and is now the oldest continuously published newspaper in Southern Oregon.  The Ashland Daily Tidings and Medford Mail Tribune have both closed down.  Amos Voorhies became the owner in 1900,  and today Sylvia Voorhies continues the family ownership.
