His family history predates the local homesteaders (Robert Kentta)

Paul Fattig relates meeting Robert Kentta, a Siletz Indian whose great grandfather was John Adams, a name given him around 1856 or 1857 at the end of the Rogue River Indian wars.  Robert, who has a degree in museum studies, has worked up and down the coast educating people about the contributions of the Indigenous people.
