Two bears and a photographer at Crater Lake/ 2002.20.18. Site of the photo most likely the Munson Valley Road between 1962 and 1972, when the prevalence of bears in that portion of the park was greater due to the presence of garbage pits. Hauling garbage out of the park helped reduce the number of bears seen by visitors after 1973.
