A History of the Holmes Place

by Robert M. Stone May 25, 1989 . The Holmes place refers to a home on Griffin Creek purchased by the author in 1988. The first white owner was BB Griffin in 1853. The property was seized in 1879 and sold to Mary Berry and then sold to William H. Holmes which the home is named after.
