The Warren Lodge is the oldest continuous fraternal organization in Jacksonville. The Masonic Ledge has been maintained by the leases of the downstairs to this point, but when major work must be done, they will need to pursue grants for historic buildings.
In the old days, being a Mason was a way of showing that you were an upstanding citizen. It was an incentive for early miners to avoid bad conduct what would make them ineligible.
