MRS S E Howlett of Eagle Point continues to cook for guests and the Sunnyside Hotel because she likes to watch people eat her good food. She remembered traveling across the plains with her parents from their home in Missouri in 1853. Their covered wagon was one of 64 such wagons. She had 13 children and helped homestead in Eagle Point.
